People from 156 countries sent ideas for six groups: Health, Food, Energy, Water, Climate Action, and Global High Schools. The large number of entries shows how much the world cares about saving the planet.

His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, said the Prize follows the vision of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who cared deeply for the environment and helping people. The Prize, he said, works to improve lives across the world.

Dr. Al Jaber shared that more ideas came from places like Africa, South Asia, and Latin America this year. He also noted how these finalists are solving problems with creative solutions, such as using new tools like tidal energy, farming methods, and better ways to study weather and climate.

Since the Prize began, past winners have helped many people. Their work has given 11.35 million people clean water, brought reliable electricity to 54 million homes, provided healthier food for 3.6 million people, and helped over 744,600 people with affordable healthcare.

Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, the head of the Prize judges, praised the finalists for their work. He said they are helping fix big problems in exciting ways, like growing more food, protecting nature, and bringing electricity and healthcare to poor areas.

The Health finalists are Periwinkle Technologies from India, Rology from Egypt, and Telemedan from Chad. In the Food group, the finalists are ABALOBI from South Africa, NaFarm Foods from Nigeria, and Xinjiang Shawan Oasis Sustainable Development Institute from China. Energy finalists include D-Olivette Global Enterprise from Nigeria, Palki Motors from Bangladesh, and Turbulent from Belgium. The Water finalists are Elman Teknoloji from Türkiye, High Atlas Foundation from Morocco, and SkyJuice Foundation from Australia. The Climate Action finalists are Distant Imagery from the UAE, Hyera from the United States, and OpenMap Development Tanzania from Tanzania.

In the Global High Schools group, students shared creative ideas to help their communities. Schools from six world regions were picked. These schools include ones from Mexico, Canada, Colombia, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Algeria, the UAE, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, the Maldives, Pakistan, Nepal, China, New Zealand, and Fiji.

Winners in Health, Food, Energy, Water, and Climate Action will each get $1 million to grow their projects. The six winning schools will each receive up to $150,000 to bring their ideas to life. The Zayed Sustainability Prize continues to bring hope and change by supporting great ideas to make the world a better place.
