The race is scheduled to kick off at 2:30 pm from the waters near Lulu Island. Participants will navigate a course spanning 7 nautical miles, with the finish line set in front of the iconic Abu Dhabi Corniche Flagpole. This thrilling competition will see the top three teams rewarded for their efforts, with prize money totaling an impressive AED 549,000 allocated for winners and top-ranking positions.

The 22ft category is particularly popular among young and up-and-coming sailors. These smaller races serve as an important stepping stone, allowing participants to showcase and refine their skills. Many sailors aim to progress through the categories, with the ultimate goal of competing in the prestigious 60ft dhow races.

The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club has ensured that all necessary arrangements are in place for the event. The organizing team has completed preparations to provide full logistical and technical support for all participants. To ensure fair competition, each dhow will be thoroughly inspected at the starting point to confirm that it meets the race's regulations and guidelines.

This race is expected to be a thrilling display of traditional sailing skills, bringing together the energy and determination of the sailors while celebrating the rich heritage of the UAE's maritime traditions.
