Microsoft has officially launched Xbox Cloud Gaming in India, opening the doors for gamers to stream Xbox titles without owning a console. With just a compatible device and a stable internet connection, players can now access hundreds of games directly from the cloud.
Affordable Plans for Every Gamer
The service comes bundled with Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. The new Essential tier starts at Rs. 499 per month, offering over 50 games and online multiplayer access. Premium and Ultimate tiers are priced at Rs. 699 and Rs. 1,389, respectively, with the Ultimate plan including day-one releases. For PC users, the PC Game Pass costs Rs. 939 per month.
Accessible Across Devices
Gamers can play on PCs, Macs, smartphones, tablets, and supported smart TVs including Samsung, LG, and Amazon Fire TV. Streaming is simple: open a supported browser or the Xbox app, sign in, connect a compatible controller, and start playing. Supported controllers include Xbox Wireless and PlayStation DualSense, with some games allowing touch or keyboard-and-mouse inputs.
Smart TV Gaming Made Easy
On smart TVs, users can install the Xbox app, sign in with a Game Pass subscription, pair a Bluetooth controller, and instantly access cloud games. This makes it possible to enjoy console-quality gaming on a living room TV without purchasing an Xbox.
Next Step for Gaming in India
This launch marks Microsoft’s expansion of Xbox Cloud Gaming beyond global beta testing, aiming to bring high-quality gaming experiences to more Indian users. The integration also supports Windows-based handheld gaming devices like the ROG Xbox Ally, making portable gaming smoother than ever.
