The Global Prompt Engineering Championship 2025 is now open for registration. This is the world’s biggest contest for creating smart and useful instructions for computers to follow. The goal of this event is to bring together talented people from different countries to show their skills in giving the best commands to AI tools. Participants will compete in four groups—Art, Video, Gaming, and Coding—with a total prize of AED 1 million.

This event is organized by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) under the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF). It will take place during Dubai AI Week on April 22–23, 2025. The event is supported by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE. The championship helps Dubai become a world leader in new technology and encourages people to use AI in smart and helpful ways.

People who want to join this contest must apply before March 22, 2025. After that, judges will choose 24 finalists—six from each group. These finalists will compete live in Dubai at AREA 2071, Emirates Towers. On the first day, all 24 finalists will battle in their groups. The top three from each group will move to the final round on the second day. After two days, three champions will win a share of AED 1 million.

The winners will be judged on how fast, clear, and correct their instructions are. A special team will check their work to see who gives the best instructions for the computer to create something amazing. This contest is a great chance for thinkers, creators, and problem solvers to show what they can do.

Saeed Al Falasi, Director of the DCAI, shared his thoughts about the event:

“This April, the Global Prompt Engineering Championship will bring together the best computer thinkers, designers, and programmers. This contest will help Dubai become a leader in AI and make sure new ideas help people in real life.”

The first time this event happened in 2024, thousands of people from nearly 100 countries applied. The final stage had 30 players from 13 different countries, including Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Morocco, India, Singapore, the Dominican Republic, Austria, France, Spain, the UK, and the UAE. They competed in three groups—Art, Literature, and Coding.

For 2025, the contest will add Video and Gaming as new groups, making it even more exciting. This is not just about winning money—it is a chance to meet experts, learn new things, and get worldwide fame.

Anyone who wants to be part of this big event must apply before March 22, 2025. More details and the signup form can be found on the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI).
