World Experts Gather at IGCF 2024 to Shape Future of Communication

The International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) 2024, scheduled for September 4-5 at Expo Centre Sharjah, will bring together a distinguished array of government officials and thought leaders from over 15 countries. This notable event will feature contributions from representatives including China, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Singapore, the United States, and Canada, with the attendance of 80 ambassadors from around the world.

Hosted by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), IGCF 2024 will see an impressive roster of 250 speakers, including more than 20 ministers, government officials, economists, and influential thinkers. The forum's theme, "Agile Governments... Innovative Communication," will guide discussions on redefining the future of communication. Topics will include how advanced technologies like AI can enable governments to navigate complex future challenges.

Key Figures and Their Contributions:

  • HE Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, will discuss advancing global economic partnerships and non-oil trade, emphasizing recent agreements with countries such as India, Turkey, and Indonesia.

  • HE Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office, will address the impact of digital revolution on media and emerging technologies.

  • HE Simon Robert Kofe, Tuvaluan Minister of Transport, Energy, Communications, and Innovation, will share insights on climate action and sustainability, highlighted by his notable speech at COP26.

  • Prof. Fumio Hayashi, a prominent Japanese economist, will provide innovative perspectives on development economics and growth strategies.

  • Bear Grylls, renowned British adventurer and survival expert, will discuss adventure as a significant resource for tourism and economic development.

  • Prof. Justin Yifu Lin, a leading Chinese economist, will offer expert views on global economic strategies and China's economic development.

  • Rachid El Yazmi, Moroccan pioneer of lithium battery technology, will share his groundbreaking research and contributions to battery technology.

  • Dr. Jamal Al Kaabi, Director-General of the UAE National Media Office, will discuss his extensive experience in media and government leadership.
