Vivek Ramaswamy, a former Indian-American presidential hopeful, is set to join former US President Donald Trump at the New York court on Tuesday. Ramaswamy has strongly criticized the ongoing prosecutions against Trump, denouncing them as efforts to impede his potential return to the White House.

In a statement, Ramaswamy emphasized the perceived lack of legitimacy in the Trump trial, asserting that even if Trump had acted oppositely to the alleged crime, he would still face prosecution. He views the prosecutions as a calculated attempt to hinder Trump's political prospects.

Ramaswamy, often mentioned as a potential vice presidential candidate for Trump, has been vocal in condemning what he sees as a misuse of the criminal justice system to target the former president. He believes that these legal proceedings are backfiring and that they reflect an abuse of prosecutorial power to silence political opponents.

During an appearance on Fox News' 'Hannity', Ramaswamy highlighted the frustration among Americans who oppose the weaponization of prosecutorial power for political purposes. He emphasized the need for fair and just legal processes, regardless of political affiliation.

Trump's allies, including US Senator JD Vance of Ohio, Senator Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, and US Representative Nicole Malliotakis of New York, have shown their support by attending court proceedings. Attorneys General Steve Marshall of Alabama and Brenna Bird of Iowa have also stood with Trump in the criminal trial.

Senator Vance criticized the involvement of individuals with political biases in the prosecution, labeling them as Democratic political operatives. The case against Trump revolves around allegations of falsifying business records, particularly regarding a payment made to silence Stormy Daniels, a porn star who claimed to have had an extramarital encounter with Trump.
