Pham Minh Chinh, the Prime Minister of Vietnam, arrived in Abu Dhabi today, leading an official delegation for a significant visit to the United Arab Emirates. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the Minister of State for Foreign Trade, who heads the honorary mission accompanying the Prime Minister. Also present were His Excellency Dr. Bader Abdullah Al Matroushi, the UAE Ambassador to Vietnam, along with several other officials.
This visit underscores the strong commitment shared by Vietnam and the UAE to enhance bilateral ties and cooperation. Vietnam has established itself as the UAE’s largest non-oil trading partner within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Recent trade statistics indicate a robust recovery in non-oil intra-trade between the two nations. In the first half of 2024, trade reached an impressive $6.1 billion, reflecting a 9 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023 and a remarkable 34 percent growth compared to 2022.

The strengthening of these ties is essential as both countries seek to expand their economic partnerships and explore new avenues for collaboration.
