An Israeli airstrike targeted a police vehicle in Gaza City, killing at least four people, including a child, according to local health officials, marking the latest outbreak of violence despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire.
Witnesses said the strike caused the vehicle to catch fire, prompting emergency crews to rush to the scene in an effort to rescue victims.
The incident underscores continued instability even after the ceasefire that has been in place since October 2025, following two years of intense fighting.
However, violence has persisted across Gaza, with reports claiming more than 750 Palestinians have been killed since the truce began, raising growing concerns over repeated violations and the fragility of peace efforts.
