While in Riyadh, Wright spoke with the media at the Ministry of Energy. He shared details about the discussions he had with Saudi officials, focusing on how both countries can work together in energy. They talked about important areas like investment, trade, energy security, and working together on different types of energy, such as solar energy and green hydrogen. Wright said it’s important to keep investing in energy to meet the growing demand around the world.
Wright also mentioned the U.S. economic policy under President Donald J. Trump. He explained that it aims to bring jobs back to the U.S. by using fair trade and encouraging U.S. businesses to invest more in the country. Wright pointed out that keeping oil prices stable is important for supporting investments in minerals needed for energy.
He also praised Saudi Arabia’s solar energy resources. He said that the country has a smart plan for developing energy, and that it’s important for both nations to invest together in energy and help ensure that there is enough energy for the future. Wright said the world’s energy needs are growing, and this means both countries need to make long-term investments that will take years to develop.
Wright ended by saying that changes in U.S. politics will help both the U.S. and Saudi Arabia grow their economies. He believes there will be more investments in energy and infrastructure, which will help everyone in the long run.
