US parents arrested for raping their teen daughter

According to the New York Post, a couple from Utah was detained after police said they thought it would be "safer" for their teenage daughter to have sexual experiences with them rather than "strangers".
According to KSL.com, the teen's stepfather and mother, both in their 30s, were booked into Utah County Jail on Thursday for alleged forcible sexual assault, forcible sodomy, and object rape. The stepfather was also detained on suspicion of rape.

To protect the victim, the suspects' names were kept confidential.

The adolescent called police and informed them that her "father had been raping her for at least a year and a half." The girl also stated that her mother was aware of the sexual abuse.
According to a police booking document acquired by KSL.com, the parents admitted to engaging in sexual activity with their daughter for more than a year.

"(The stepfather) revealed that a year ago, he and the victim's mother discovered that the victim desired to meet and have sex with strangers. (He) stated that he and his wife agreed that teaching the victim about sex and engaging in sexual acts with her would be safer for her than having sex with strangers," according to the affidavit.

According to the police, if the Utah County Attorney's Office files formal charges, the parents might face additional charges.
According to ABC4, the daughter was approached by her parents at the age of 14 when her mother discovered "the victim was wanting to meet and have sex with strangers".

According to the petition, the mother discovered online chats and Snapchat photographs of the girl engaged in "sexual situations". According to the complaint, the parents purchased sex devices for the girl and taught her "how to use them" on herself and others. According to ABC 4, the mother also claimed to authorities that the girl just witnessed them having sex.

According to the media site, the girl informed her mother two months ago about a broken condom, and when the mother of five confronted her husband, he denied having "full intercourse with the victim.
