Four Indian nationals were arrested in Princeton, New Jersey, on charges related to human trafficking following a welfare check that uncovered a forced labor operation in Collin County. The arrests, which occurred in March this year, are now being detailed by the Princeton Police Department.
On March 13, authorities responded to a welfare call regarding a residence on Ginsburg Lane, where they discovered what was described in court documents as a "suspicious circumstance." A pest control company, inspecting the house for bed bugs, alerted officials to find "3-5 young females sleeping on the floors" in each room, according to an affidavit.
Princeton Police Sgt. Carolyn Crawford indicated that more than a dozen people were involved in the forced labor scheme, with potentially over 100 individuals affected, a majority of whom were victims. The arrested individuals—Chandan Dasireddy (24), Dwaraka Gunda (31), Santhosh Katkoori (31), and Anil Male (37)—face charges related to trafficking of persons.

Authorities revealed that the victims included both men and women who were reportedly employed as programmers. During the search of the residence, law enforcement seized multiple laptops, phones, printers, and fraudulent documents. The exact nature of the alleged shell companies involved was not disclosed initially.
Princeton Police Chief James Waters, who had been investigating the case for months, described the discovery as unique and leading to the uncovering of additional sites involved in forced labor operations across Princeton, Melissa, and McKinney.
The investigation continues as authorities work to determine the full extent and scope of the alleged trafficking and forced labor network.
