A United Airlines flight, originally en route to Newark International Airport in New Jersey from Tel Aviv, faced a harrowing ordeal as it encountered high winds and turbulence. Amid the turbulent conditions, the decision was made to divert the flight to New York Stewart International Airport on Friday.

Reports indicated that several passengers sustained injuries during the turbulent episode. Emergency services swiftly responded, attending to the injured individuals. Those requiring medical attention were transported to local hospitals for evaluation, while the remaining passengers were later flown back to Newark Airport.

First responders from various agencies were on the scene to provide assistance. Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus expressed gratitude for their prompt and coordinated efforts in addressing the situation. He emphasized the collaborative response of the first responders, which helped ease the challenges faced by passengers during the incident.

While no serious injuries were reported among the passengers, approximately 200 individuals were attended to by emergency personnel. Neuhaus conveyed well wishes for the speedy recovery of those injured and expressed hopes for the safe onward travels of all passengers involved.
