UK Police Publish Hateful WhatsApp Conversations Between Two Officers Who "Rated" Their Female Coworkers

Post by: Kanchan Chandel

Two former Merseyside police officers, Inspector Andrew McLullich and PC Paul Jackson, have been exposed for engaging in inappropriate and offensive behavior towards their female colleagues. A disciplinary hearing unveiled that the officers exchanged derogatory messages on WhatsApp, which included sharing photos of female colleagues without their consent and participating in graphic sexual discussions that objectified the women. These messages left the targeted officers feeling "preyed upon."

McLullich and Jackson resigned in 2022 before facing official misconduct charges. The details of their actions were kept under wraps until the conclusion of an unrelated criminal trial where McLullich served as a witness.

The incident came to light when McLullich's phone was examined during the aforementioned trial, revealing the incriminating WhatsApp messages dating back to March 2020. The exchanges included photos taken without consent, references to women using demeaning terms, and explicit discussions of sexual acts.

The behavior exhibited by McLullich and Jackson constitutes a serious breach of professional conduct, resulting in both officers being banned from working in the police force ever again.

The revealed exchanges showcased screenshots and derogatory remarks about female colleagues shared between Andrew McLullich and PC Paul Jackson in March 2020, along with screenshots of their Facebook pages. The conversations included objectifying comments and inappropriate references to the women's appearance and behavior, indicating a pattern of disrespectful conduct towards their fellow officers.
