UK Police Charge Man with Murder After Bodies Found in Suitcase

London Metropolitan Police have charged Yostin Andres Mosquera, aged 34, with murder after the bodies of two men were discovered in suitcases on Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, United Kingdom. The victims have been identified as Albert Alfonso, aged 62, a British citizen originally from France, and Paul Longworth, aged 71.

According to police statements, Alfonso and Longworth were known to have been in a relationship and were residing together in west London, where Mosquera had also been staying. The investigation, while ongoing, has not revealed any evidence pointing to a homophobic motive; however, authorities have classified the case as a hate crime.

The discovery of the bodies sparked a significant manhunt and subsequent searches, leading to the recovery of additional human remains at a residential address in London. Metropolitan Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Valentine confirmed that Mosquera will appear before magistrates in London.

Valentine expressed condolences to the families and friends of Alfonso and Longworth, acknowledging the impact of the incident on both local residents and the broader LGBTQ+ community. He reassured the public that no other suspects are being sought in connection with the killings.
