Dubai: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) announced on Friday that, in response to the extraordinary weather conditions in the UAE and after coordination with relevant authorities, all private sector companies must exercise due caution.
"We urge all private sector companies to take necessary measures for the safety of their workers during these weather fluctuations," stated a circular from the MoHRE.
The ministry further advised private sector companies to implement remote work for employees whose roles permit it. Additionally, companies are urged to comply with directives issued by local authorities in each emirate regarding the impact of exceptional weather conditions on business operations.
Weekend Forecast: The UAE's Meteorology Department forecasts heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and hail from the evening of Friday, March 8, until noon on Sunday, March 10, potentially causing floods in certain areas. Strong winds may result in low visibility on the roads, with the most severe weather expected from Friday midnight to Saturday midnight.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) previously indicated that rain, thunderstorms, and hail are expected on Friday and Saturday, with continued rain possibilities on Sunday, particularly in the east and north regions. Clouds and rainfall are expected to decrease gradually by Sunday evening, with no rain anticipated on Monday, only morning fog.
Authorities, including the police, rescue teams, paramedics, and civil defense, are fully prepared to handle any emergencies, as confirmed by the Ministry of Interior.
