Motorists are being advised to exercise caution as reduced visibility grips the roads, courtesy of a yellow warning issued for fog by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) on Tuesday, June 4. The meteorological authority has cautioned against a potential decline in horizontal visibility, particularly until 8:30 am today, exacerbating travel hazards across the region.
Abu Dhabi Police, through a notification on X, echoed the NCM's concerns, urging drivers to navigate with heightened vigilance amidst the foggy conditions. They stressed adherence to fluctuating speed limits communicated via electronic information boards, aiming to mitigate potential accidents and ensure road safety.
Despite the fog advisory, the broader weather outlook for the UAE remains relatively fair for Tuesday. The weather department anticipates the emergence of low clouds in eastern regions, with possible convective activity over mountainous areas by afternoon, accompanied by a gradual rise in temperatures.

Expectations for internal regions indicate soaring temperatures, peaking at 47ºC, while areas like Al Quaa may experience highs of 46ºC, coupled with humidity levels reaching up to 65 per cent, adding to the discomfort.
Nightfall and the onset of Wednesday morning may witness increased humidity levels, potentially leading to fog or mist formation in select coastal and internal areas. Temperature projections for key cities like Abu Dhabi and Dubai indicate highs of 40ºC and 36ºC, respectively.
Winds are forecasted to range from light to moderate, occasionally intensifying across the country. Sea conditions are expected to remain tranquil, with slight waves anticipated in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea, offering little respite from the prevailing weather conditions.
