This high-speed train will make travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai much faster, cutting down travel time to just 30 minutes. The project aims to improve the country's transport system and help make the UAE a leader in modern transportation. The train will also help reduce pollution and contribute to the UAE’s goal of reaching Net Zero by 2050.
The project will bring many benefits, such as better travel options for citizens, residents, and tourists. It will also connect the two cities in a way that will help businesses grow and create more investment opportunities. This project will also help improve the UAE’s economy.
His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the train project fits into the UAE’s plan to improve the country’s infrastructure and make travel services better. He said it would make the UAE more competitive on the world stage and show the country’s commitment to progress and innovation.
His Highness also mentioned that the train project would help build a better future by creating a more sustainable transportation system and helping to improve the economy. The project will provide better connections between cities and help the country’s long-term goals of using knowledge and new ideas to build a better future.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also talked about the importance of the train project. He said that it would set high standards for quality and will connect all parts of the UAE through advanced transportation.
The new high-speed train will also help make the country’s tourism industry even stronger. The train will travel at speeds of up to 350 km/h, cutting the journey time between Abu Dhabi and Dubai to just 30 minutes. The project is expected to contribute AED 145 billion to the UAE's economy over the next 50 years.
At the ceremony, a Cooperation Charter was signed by officials from Abu Dhabi and Dubai, showing their teamwork to improve the train project.
In addition to the high-speed train, the first four passenger rail stations were also announced in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah. These stations will provide easy access to train services and connect with metro and bus routes. The stations will have modern facilities, including lounges, shopping areas, and family-friendly spaces.
The train project is an important step forward for the UAE, helping make transportation easier, improving the country’s economy, and creating a more sustainable future for everyone.
