UAE: Two young girls die in tragic accident caused by distracted driver

Two young Emirati girls, aged 14 and 15, tragically lost their lives in an accident on Saturday in Ras Al Khaimah. The incident occurred when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a private vehicle on an internal road. The girls were enjoying a ride on a recreational motorcycle when they were struck by a car driven by a 37-year-old man.

According to Ras Al Khaimah Police, the driver was distracted, which led to the crash. The accident happened on Saturday evening, and the Police Operations Room immediately received a report. Patrol teams and the National Ambulance rushed to the scene without delay. Unfortunately, the two girls suffered severe injuries in the collision and were declared dead shortly after. They were later taken by ambulance to the hospital, where their families were notified.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash was detained by the police. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident and are taking necessary legal actions.

Ras Al Khaimah Police are urging all drivers to be extra cautious on the roads. They reminded the public to follow traffic rules, stick to speed limits, and stay focused while driving to avoid accidents that could harm innocent people.
