The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence (MoD), Matar Salem Al Dhaheri, confirmed that four soldiers tragically lost their lives and nine others sustained injuries while transporting ammunition to a military camp. Al Dhaheri did not provide further details regarding the specific nature of the incident.
In a heartfelt statement, Al Dhaheri expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased soldiers, emphasizing the Ministry's support during this difficult time. A delegation from the MoD was dispatched to visit the families, offering their sympathies and wishing them solace and patience in their grief.

The soldiers who lost their lives have been identified as Corporal Ahmed Mohammed Rashid Al Shehhi, Private Nahyan Abdullah Ahmed Al Marzouqi, Private Abdulaziz Saeed Sabt Al Tunaiji, and Private Nasser Mohammed Yousef Al Balushi. Their service and sacrifice will be remembered as a testament to their commitment to the UAE.
The nine injured personnel are currently receiving medical treatment at Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi. The Ministry of Defence released a statement on Tuesday announcing the fatalities and injuries, describing the incident as an accident that occurred while the soldiers were dutifully serving their country. The MoD continues to monitor the situation closely and provide support to the affected families and injured personnel.
