The United Arab Emirates has sent its sixth shipment of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, strengthening its ongoing support for communities devastated by recent earthquakes.
With this latest delivery, the total UAE aid to Afghanistan has now exceeded 250.3 tonnes, delivered through seven aircraft and 21 relief trucks. The latest consignment included 6,696 food baskets, 1,030 tents, 850 blankets, and a 28-tonne shipment of dates for distribution among affected families.
In Samangan province, the UAE distributed 1,188 food baskets, 450 tents, and 850 blankets, ensuring immediate relief for those who lost their homes and livelihoods in the disaster. Additionally, a seventh plane carrying another shipment of dates has arrived to further support the recovery process.
These humanitarian efforts are carried out under the directives of the UAE’s leadership, reaffirming the nation's unwavering commitment to helping communities affected by natural calamities around the world. The UAE continues to stand at the forefront of international humanitarian response, offering timely aid and logistical support in crisis situations.
Through its ongoing efforts in Afghanistan, the UAE demonstrates its long-standing principles of compassion, solidarity, and global responsibility.
