The UAE Under-17 football team has qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025. The tournament will take place in Qatar.
Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed, the head of Dubai Sports Council, shared a message on X (formerly Twitter) to say congratulations to the team.

He said, “We are happy that our UAE U-17 team made it to the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025. We also thank the coaches and staff for their hard work.”
He also thanked Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, who is the President of the UAE Football Association. He praised him for always helping young football players in the country.
Sheikh Mansoor added, “We wish the U-17 team and all our national teams good luck. We hope they make the country proud in matches across Asia and the world.”
The FIFA U-17 World Cup will now happen every year, not every two years. From 2025, Qatar will host the next five tournaments.
FIFA also said that more teams will play in this tournament. It will grow from 24 to 48 teams — just like the men’s World Cup.
The girls’ Under-17 World Cup will also happen every year from 2025. It will be held in Morocco and will also grow from 16 to 24 teams. Morocco will host it until 2029.
This is a big moment for UAE football and shows the hard work of young players and coaches.
