UAE President to Patron Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2025 will happen from January 12 to January 18 in Abu Dhabi. It is supported by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE. This event will bring world leaders together to talk about how to make the world greener and better for everyone.

The theme for ADSW 2025 is "The Nexus of Next. Supercharging Sustainable Progress." It aims to bring leaders, businesses, and others to explore how to quickly create a sustainable economy. The event will show how new technologies, like energy and AI (artificial intelligence), can help make the world better. Experts believe these changes could open up huge economic opportunities.

Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, the UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar, said that ADSW 2025 will connect business leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to find smart solutions for a brighter future. He said three big trends are changing the world: new markets growing in developing countries, changes in how we use energy, and the rapid rise of AI. These changes can help make the world better, and ADSW 2025 will help turn ideas into actions.

Many important groups and companies are supporting ADSW 2025, like the Department of Energy, ADNOC, Emirates Global Aluminium, and Mubadala. These partners will work together to focus on solving global challenges.

For over 15 years, ADSW has been bringing people together to tackle the world’s biggest problems. The event has helped build partnerships between governments, businesses, and clean energy companies to improve the environment.

ADSW 2025 will offer many discussions, forums, and chances for leaders to meet and share ideas. The event will focus on how energy, data, money, and nature can come together to bring about quick change.

ADSW 2025 will start with the IRENA Assembly on January 12 and 13, followed by the Global Climate Finance Meeting on January 13. The official opening ceremony will happen on January 14. Other key events will include the World Future Energy Summit, where companies can showcase their ideas and innovations. The Innovation Hub at this summit will highlight over 55 startups with new technologies.

The event will also feature the Women in Sustainability, Environment, and Renewable Energy (WiSER) forum, which will give women a bigger role in sustainability talks. The Youth 4 Sustainability Forum (Y4S) will bring 3,500 young people together to learn and act on climate change.

The Zayed Sustainability Prize will also be part of ADSW 2025. This prize celebrates people who have created solutions to problems in health, food, water, and energy. Over the years, this prize has helped millions of people live better lives.
