The event began with the UAE national anthem, echoing through the hall as attendees stood in respect. A documentary was then screened, offering an inspiring reflection on the journey undertaken by students during their time at UAEU, highlighting their growth, achievements, and resilience. His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to His Highness the President and Supreme President of the University, delivered a heartfelt keynote speech, commending the graduates on their achievements and acknowledging the university's crucial role in shaping the future leaders of the nation. Following his speech, a few of the graduates also addressed the audience, sharing their experiences and expressing gratitude.

An especially notable moment during the ceremony was when graduates from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences took the traditional medical oath, underscoring their commitment to ethical practice and dedicated service in their chosen field.

In his address, His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh stated, "We gather today under the benevolent guidance of our wise leadership, advancing steadily along the paths of glory and greatness, defined by giving, loyalty, and belonging as envisioned by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan." He further highlighted that as UAEU prepares to celebrate its golden jubilee in two years, the university’s many achievements mirror the vision of its founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. “The university stands as a national incubator of knowledge, and a cultural beacon, with 80,000 graduates now holding prominent leadership positions,” he added, reflecting on UAEU’s enduring legacy.

This year’s graduating class consists of a total of 2,581 students from various academic disciplines and programs, symbolizing the institution’s commitment to fostering a diverse and skilled workforce. The first day of the ceremony saw 158 male and 533 female students honored for their distinguished academic performances, while the celebrations are set to continue on October 31, 2024, with two more sessions recognizing an additional 1,890 graduates.

Among the graduates was Rashid Saeed Al Kindi from the College of Business and Economics, who addressed his peers with inspiring words. He expressed deep appreciation for the faculty and the university administration, acknowledging their relentless support throughout the students' academic journey. He also extended heartfelt thanks to the graduates’ families, especially parents, who have been unwavering pillars of support and encouragement.

Al Kindi highlighted the importance of upholding the values instilled by the nation’s leadership, saying, “We will continue to work with commitment to pursue the vision of the wise leadership and to elevate the UAE's profile on global platforms, inspired by the encouragement of youth innovation.” He expressed his gratitude and commitment to the UAE, pledging to serve the country and contribute to its ongoing success. “Today, we leave behind our years of study and step into a new phase filled with both opportunities and challenges. We pledge to our wise leadership to remain loyal and serve the UAE and safeguard its achievements while continuing to pursue knowledge and innovation, which are essential for a prosperous future,” he said, embodying the spirit of responsibility and ambition that characterizes UAEU graduates.

The graduation ceremony not only celebrated academic success but also honored the dedication and dreams of a new generation, ready to shape the future of the UAE. As UAEU looks forward to its 50th anniversary, the achievements of its graduates and the continued support of the UAE’s leadership promise a bright future for the institution and its role in the development of the nation.
