His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, welcomed members of the UAE Armed Forces today at Qasr Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi. The military personnel were honoured for their victory in the 10th edition of the International Holy Quran Competition for Military Personnel, held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The competition was organised by the General Directorate of Religious Affairs of the Armed Forces.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed congratulated the Emirati soldiers on their outstanding achievement. He praised their dedication to memorising and understanding the meanings of the Holy Quran, highlighting the importance of such values in shaping strong, disciplined, and principled individuals.

In return, the members of the UAE Armed Forces expressed their gratitude to the President. They also extended their Ramadan greetings to him, wishing him good health and happiness during the holy month.
The gathering reflected the UAE leadership’s commitment to encouraging excellence, not only in military service but also in religious and cultural pursuits. Sheikh Mohamed’s recognition of the winners highlighted the country’s pride in its soldiers' spiritual devotion and their efforts to represent the UAE on an international stage.
