Abu Dhabi, UAE: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, bestowed honors upon eight outstanding individuals for their remarkable contributions to communities across the nation. The prestigious Abu Dhabi Awards, now in its 11th edition, celebrated these individuals at a ceremony held at Qasr Al Hosn in Abu Dhabi.
The recipients hailed from diverse fields including education, sustainability, medicine, humanitarian relief, community awareness, and empowerment of People of Determination. Sheikh Mohamed commended the awardees, acknowledging their inspiring endeavors and significant societal impacts.

"The recipients of the Abu Dhabi Awards truly embody the timeless values of giving, compassion, and altruism, and through their deeds, they have positively impacted UAE society in a variety of ways. By honoring their selflessness and dedication, we also celebrate and reinforce the values exemplified by the Founding Father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan," remarked Sheikh Mohamed.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of dignitaries including Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, among others. Families of the awardees and official partners and supporters of the initiative also attended.
Among the distinguished individuals honored were:
1. Amna Khalifa Al Qemzi: A trailblazer in organic agriculture, dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability and sharing expertise with the community.
2. Dr. Ahmed Osman Shatila: A consultant neurologist renowned for his management of the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City.
3. Imen Sfaxi: Displayed bravery and utilized first aid expertise to assist victims during a fire in Abu Dhabi.
4. Salaamah Saif Al Teneij: Actively raises awareness on children's issues including bullying prevention and online safety.
5. Klaithem Obaid Al Matrooshi: A pioneer in human rights advocacy, particularly empowering People of Determination.
6. Mezna Matar Al Mansoori: A significant contributor to child development in Al Sila, instilling civic responsibility and tolerance.
7. Saeed Naseeb Al Mansoori: A generous supporter of education in Al Wathba, inspiring generations with his kindness.
8. John Sexton: Renowned for his dedication to education, notably for his role in founding New York University Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi Awards, established in 2005, aim to recognize individuals who have selflessly served the UAE community, leaving a lasting positive impact. They serve as inspiration for all members of society to contribute to societal welfare.
