UAE Police Save 8 Stranded at 3,500 Feet in Ras Al Khaimah

Post by: Dr. Amrinder Pal Singh

In a successful operation, the Air Wing Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police rescued eight individuals stranded in a rugged mountainous region at an altitude of 3,500 feet. The foreign nationals had found themselves in distress, prompting a swift response from the authorities upon receiving a distress call regarding the group located in the northern mountains of the Emirate.

Colonel Abdullah Ali Al Shahi, head of the Air Division in Ras Al Khaimah Police, reported that a helicopter was promptly dispatched to the specified location. The stranded individuals were safely rescued and evacuated through the collaborative efforts of relevant parties involved in the operation.

Highlighting the positive outcome, Colonel Al Shahi confirmed that all eight individuals were found to be in good health. Following their rescue, they were transported to a secure and accessible area. The operation serves as a testament to the efficiency and capabilities of the Air Wing Department in handling such emergency situations.

However, in light of this incident, authorities are urging members of the community to exercise caution when venturing into mountainous areas. The public is advised to avoid rugged terrains and valley streams, which may pose safety hazards. It is emphasized that individuals take necessary precautions to mitigate risks, ensuring their safety without exposing themselves to potential dangers in such environments. This incident underscores the importance of vigilance and preparedness when exploring challenging terrains.
