The UAE has joined the international Call for Action aimed at addressing the dire situation faced by Palestinian children in the West Bank and Gaza, characterizing the impact on them as "devastating" and "heartbreaking." Speaking at platform X, the UAE Mission to the UN emphasized the urgent need for intervention.
"One of the most devastating repercussions of the conflict in Gaza is its heartbreaking impact on Palestinian children," stated the UAE Mission to the UN. "Today, the UAE stands in solidarity with the Call for Action for Palestinian children in the West Bank & Gaza. With continuous airstrikes, the looming threat of famine, and severe disruption to schools and public services, an entire generation is at risk. Immediate ceasefire is imperative."
The UAE outlined five key actions to address the crisis. Firstly, it called for an immediate ceasefire to halt the ongoing hostilities. Secondly, it emphasized the importance of respecting international law, including human rights and humanitarian law. Additionally, the UAE urged for the prompt and safe release of all detained children and hostages.

Moreover, the UAE stressed the critical need for unrestricted humanitarian access to Gaza and the West Bank to ensure essential aid reaches those in need without delay.
