Dubai: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi, where they both called once again for a ceasefire in Gaza. Their meeting took place at Qasr Al-Shati, a presidential palace in the UAE capital.
During their discussion, the two leaders said that efforts need to be stronger and faster to stop the ongoing fighting in Gaza. They both agreed on the importance of working towards peace in the region, calling for a solution that supports the idea of two states—one for Palestinians and one for Israelis—so that both sides can live in peace.
This meeting came shortly after the United States vetoed a resolution at the United Nations Security Council that had called for an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages held by Hamas, and easier delivery of aid and food to people suffering in Gaza.

Their meeting showed strong friendship between the two countries and a shared hope for a better future for the Middle East.
