UAE and Egypt Enhance Cooperation in Key Sectors

Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, the UAE Minister of Economy, recently engaged in a series of discussions with Lieutenant General Kamel El Wazir, Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport. The talks were held to reinforce the economic collaboration between the UAE and Egypt across a range of sectors, including the new economy, transportation, entrepreneurship, infrastructure, circular economy, agriculture, and industry.

These discussions occurred on the sidelines of Bin Touq’s participation in the 114th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council, which took place at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo. The council meeting, chaired by the UAE, provided a platform for high-level dialogue on enhancing regional cooperation.

During the meeting, both ministers shared insights on advancing policies and strategies to transition towards circular and green economies. They emphasized leveraging the collective capabilities and resources of both nations to achieve these goals.

The dialogue also covered collaborative efforts in integrating cutting-edge technology and innovation into airport infrastructure development.
