A UAE aid ship carrying 5,820 tonnes of needed supplies for Gaza has reached Egypt’s Al Arish port. This is part of the UAE’s “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” plan, made to help the Palestinian people suffering in the Gaza Strip.

The ship, named the "Zayed Humanitarian Ship," is filled with food, medicines, medical tools, dates, and shelter items. This shipment comes during the Holy Month of Ramadan, a time when support is even more important.

This is the seventh aid ship sent by the UAE under this mission. But no aid has entered Gaza since March 2 because Israel has stopped the aid trucks. This is due to a dispute over a possible ceasefire with Hamas. The blockade has left many people in Gaza without basic supplies.

Since the war started in October 2023, the UAE has sent more than 34,000 tonnes of aid to Gaza. Along with the aid ships, the UAE has also started several projects to help. They have built two field hospitals that give urgent medical care to the injured and have opened automated bakeries to provide fresh bread.

The UAE has also built six desalination plants. These plants make around two million gallons of clean water each day, giving fresh water to more than 600,000 people in Gaza.

The UAE has promised to keep sending aid and using all possible ways to make sure it reaches the people in need. The country says it will continue to stand with the Palestinian people by giving ongoing support and relief.
