Meanwhile, President Joe Biden's campaign has yet to unveil its May fundraising totals. However, Trump and the Republican Party had previously reported raising $76 million in April, surpassing the $51 million reported by Biden and the Democratic National Committee for the same period, marking a significant milestone in fundraising prowess.

The specifics regarding Trump's campaign expenditure for May remain undisclosed. Nonetheless, the substantial fundraising amount could potentially narrow the financial gap between Trump and Biden, a gap that has persisted throughout the electoral race.

Highlighting the composition of the donations, Trump's campaign emphasized that over a third of the total amount, specifically 37.6%, originated from online contributions within the 24 hours following the verdict announcement. Additionally, approximately a quarter of the donors were new supporters of the campaign, signaling a broadening of Trump's base.

In response to the fundraising success, senior advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support for President Trump. They characterized the outpouring of contributions as a clear rejection of what they termed "Crooked Joe Biden's rigged trial," asserting that the true verdict would manifest in the upcoming November elections.

However, Biden campaign spokesman Ammar Moussa conveyed skepticism regarding the significance of the fundraising figures, suggesting that Trump's wealthy associates were bolstering his campaign due to mutual interests in tax policies. Moussa emphasized the contrast between Trump's privileged connections and the financial burden borne by working-class Americans.

Last week, Trump's campaign had announced a remarkable achievement of raising over $50 million online within 24 hours of the Manhattan jury's verdict, marking Trump as the first former president and major party presumptive nominee in U.S. history to face a criminal conviction. He is scheduled for sentencing on July 11.
