The Oklahoma City Thunder once again showed why they are the best team in the league right now with a commanding 126-102 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. The home crowd in Oklahoma City enjoyed every minute as the Thunder put on a near-perfect performance, extending their record to an impressive 11-1.

Star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was unstoppable, scoring 28 points in just three quarters before resting in the final period. His smooth shooting, quick drives, and calm leadership guided the Thunder from start to finish. Every time the Warriors tried to make a run, Gilgeous-Alexander responded with poise, making key baskets that kept Oklahoma City comfortably ahead. His outstanding efficiency once again underlined his MVP-level form this season.

Chet Holmgren, the young forward who continues to impress fans and critics alike, had one of his best games of the season. He scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while maintaining a perfect shooting record. Holmgren went 9-for-9 from the field, made both his three-point attempts, and converted all three of his free throws. His flawless performance on both ends of the floor left the crowd cheering every time he touched the ball.

The Thunder also received major contributions from their supporting cast. Isaiah Joe provided 18 points, hitting crucial shots from beyond the arc, while Ajay Mitchell added 17 points with confident playmaking. The bench’s scoring helped Oklahoma City maintain their dominance even when Gilgeous-Alexander sat out stretches of the game. The team’s depth has been one of its biggest strengths this season, allowing them to sustain high energy for all four quarters.

On the other side, the Golden State Warriors had a night to forget. Jonathan Kuminga led the team with just 13 points, while veteran star Stephen Curry, returning from illness after missing three games, could not find his rhythm. Curry scored only 11 points on 4-for-13 shooting and faced early foul trouble, committing his fifth foul midway through the third quarter. His defensive struggles further hurt the Warriors, who never managed to slow down Oklahoma City’s offense.

Even without their top perimeter defender Lu Dort, who was sidelined with a right upper trapezius strain, the Thunder showed outstanding defensive discipline. They rotated well, cut off passing lanes, and limited open looks from the Warriors’ shooters. It was Golden State’s second-lowest scoring game of the season, showing how completely Oklahoma City controlled the pace and intensity.

The Thunder took command early, ending the first half with a comfortable 63-44 lead. Gilgeous-Alexander scored 15 points in the opening two quarters, while Holmgren added 11 points on perfect shooting. Their combination of inside scoring and perimeter efficiency left the Warriors struggling to keep up. Curry managed only seven points in the half, shooting 3-for-10 from the field as the Thunder’s defense swarmed him each possession.

Golden State’s Draymond Green once again found himself in the middle of controversy. Late in the second quarter, Green was called for a personal foul and then a technical foul after arguing with the referees. The Thunder crowd, which had already been booing him during introductions, erupted in loud cheers. Oklahoma City converted all three free throws from that sequence, extending their lead to 21 points and deflating any hopes of a Warriors comeback.

Oklahoma City came out strong after halftime and quickly widened the gap. Gilgeous-Alexander brought the home fans to their feet when he drove hard to the basket, scored a layup, and drew a foul from Draymond Green. His free throw made it 80-58, and from that point, the Thunder never looked back. By the end of the third quarter, they led 107-72, allowing their starters to rest comfortably in the final period.

With this win, the Thunder improved to 5-0 at home, maintaining a perfect record at their arena. The Warriors, meanwhile, dropped to 1-6 on the road, continuing their struggles away from home. For Oklahoma City, this victory was another statement of intent — a reminder to the rest of the NBA that they are not just winning games, but doing so convincingly. Their balance of youth, energy, and skill makes them one of the most exciting teams to watch this season.

The Thunder’s 126-102 triumph over the Warriors was not just a win — it was a declaration of dominance. Led by Gilgeous-Alexander’s control and Holmgren’s perfection, Oklahoma City displayed all the qualities of a championship-caliber team. With an 11-1 record and growing confidence, the defending champions have made it clear: they are ready to defend their crown and remain the team to beat in the NBA this season.
