Two South Korean Air Force pilots have been blamed for a mistake that caused bombs to fall on a village by accident. The pilots are now facing legal action for their carelessness. This happened last week in Pocheon, a town near the border with North Korea. At least 29 people got hurt, and many houses and buildings were damaged.

The military checked what went wrong and found that the pilots had typed the wrong location into their aircraft’s system. Because of this mistake, the bombs landed in the village instead of the practice area. The Ministry of National Defense said this was the main reason for the accident.
The two pilots have been removed from flying. Their skills will be checked again to decide if they can fly in the future. The investigation is still not finished, and officials are looking into more details.
The accident happened when two fighter planes dropped eight bombs that were not guided by a system. These bombs were supposed to hit a training target, but instead, they hit the village. The powerful blasts hurt many people and destroyed houses, buildings, and other property.
This area is often used by the South Korean and U.S. military for practice. For many years, the people living there have complained about the loud noise and the risks of accidents. They have said that the military exercises disturb their daily life and make them feel unsafe.
After the accident, the head of the South Korean Air Force apologized. He promised that training rules would be checked again to stop such mistakes in the future.
North Korea, which often speaks against military exercises by South Korea and the U.S., said this accident shows how risky these drills are. Officials in North Korea warned that if the bombs had landed closer to the border, it could have led to a serious fight.
People in Pocheon are now asking the government to make military training safer. They want strict rules so that accidents like this do not happen again. The South Korean military is under pressure to make sure their exercises do not put people in danger.
