Small Plane Crashes into Nebraska River, All 3 People on Board Killed

A small airplane crashed into a river in east Nebraska on Friday night. All three people in the plane died.

The plane was flying above the Platte River. Around 8:15 p.m., it crashed into the water just south of the town called Fremont.

The police officer, Sgt. Brie Frank, said that rescue teams went to the place quickly. They found the plane in the river. Later, they also found the bodies of the three people inside the plane.

Right now, police have not said the names of the people who died. They will tell the families first.

The crash happened about 60 kilometers west of Omaha, near Fremont.
