A small plane crash in a Denver suburb on Friday morning left four people hospitalized. Arvada Fire Operations Chief Matt Osier confirmed the fiery incident occurred around 9:30 am near a house in Arvada, roughly 10 miles northwest of Denver. The crash site was located close to the intersection of Oberon Road and Carr Street.
Arvada police stated on X that two adults and two juveniles were rushed to local hospitals for treatment. Details regarding their ages and the extent of their injuries were not disclosed.
Authorities shared an image from the scene showing firefighters battling a blaze with a hose, likely targeting scattered plane debris in the front yard of a single-story residence.
According to witness accounts, the pilot reported losing power quickly and indicated the necessity of making an emergency landing near Standley. The air traffic control offered assistance, but the pilot expressed uncertainty about the situation and decided to land the plane in a field.

Witness Erick Garcia recounted the harrowing moment, stating, "It started getting lower so I started following, expecting an impact. That's when it hit and then went into flames when it got close to the truck and it all just burst into flames."
Another witness, Anne, described hearing the plane before seeing it, likening the sound to that of a motorcycle. She witnessed the plane clip a tree before crashing to the ground and sliding.
The wreckage from the crash also affected the property of 90-year-old resident Dee Williams. The tree branches in her yard were damaged, and pieces of the aircraft were scattered around, prompting her to express her concern about the proximity of the crash.
Investigators are diligently examining the scattered wreckage along Oberon Road to determine the cause of the crash, likening it to a puzzle waiting to be solved. Witness Garcia emphasized the unexpected nature of such incidents, stating, "You don't expect it... it's something we don't want to expect every day."
