Dubai: 20 March, 2023 - In an extraordinary display of courage and determination, Maninder Kaur Dhawan, a proud mother of two and an airline professional based in the UAE, has made history by becoming the first Sikh woman to obtain a skydiving license. Hailing from Patiala, Punjab, Maninder's journey to the skies was fueled by an unwavering passion for adventure and a desire to challenge societal norms. Her dedication to pursuing her dreams led her to Skydive Dubai, where she underwent rigorous training and showcased her exceptional skills, ultimately earning her the coveted Skydive "A" license.
Maninder's accomplishment is even more commendable considering her responsibilities as a mother and a professional. Balancing her family life with her adventurous pursuits, she exemplifies that being a parent does not limit one's ability to achieve personal goals. Instead, it adds a layer of motivation and resilience.
In 2022, Maninder was also crowned the 2nd runner-up in the Mrs. UAE Intl pageant, adding another feather to her cap. Her multifaceted personality extends to her being a fitness enthusiast, a model, and a motivational speaker, inspiring others to break free from the constraints of conventional roles and pursue their passions with zeal.
The support of her family has been a cornerstone of her success. Maninder attributes her achievements to the unwavering backing of her "four pillars": her father S. Harjit Singh, her husband S. Tejpreet Singh, and her daughters Geet and Taraina. Their encouragement and belief in her abilities have empowered her to soar to new heights, literally and metaphorically.
Maninder's message to the community is clear and powerful: "Be it your son or daughter, never stop them from pursuing their goals. Instead of just supporting them, become their shield and power." She is a living testament to the fact that with determination, support, and a never-give-up attitude, one can create a world of their own choice and achieve the extraordinary.
Skydive Dubai, where Maninder trained and earned her Skydive "A" license, is renowned for its commitment to excellence in aerial sports. It has been a platform for many enthusiasts to explore the skies and push the boundaries of what is possible. Maninder's story adds a remarkable chapter to its legacy, showcasing the spirit of perseverance and the joy of achieving one's dreams.
As Maninder Kaur Dhawan continues to inspire and motivate, her journey serves as a reminder that the sky is not the limit; it's just the beginning. Her historic achievement as the first Sikh woman to obtain a Skydive "A" license is a testament to the power of dreams and the strength of the human spirit to overcome any obstacle.
