"He authored over 70 books on Sharia science and spearheaded numerous charitable initiatives. His counsel was a beacon of wisdom and his engagement with the community was exemplary," Sheikh Mohammed wrote, reflecting on Sheikh Muhammad Ali's legacy.

Born in 1920, Sheikh Muhammad Ali inherited the esteemed title "Sultan Al Ulama," meaning 'Sultan of scholars,' from his father. He earned acclaim as the Islamic Personality of the Year at the Dubai Quran Award in 2016, a testament to his lifelong dedication to religious scholarship.

Educated in India and Al Azhar University in Cairo, Sheikh Muhammad Ali returned to the UAE to teach Arabic and Islamic Shariah at the Rahmaniya School, founded by his renowned father, Imam Abdurrahman bin Yusuf.

Throughout his prolific career, he authored more than 70 books, including an extensive 11-part Quranic exegesis, and initiated over 200 charitable projects, leaving an indelible mark on both scholarly and humanitarian fronts.

"May God grant him mercy and provide his family and loved ones with strength during this time of sorrow," Sheikh Mohammed concluded.
