His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the President of the UAE Olympic Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors, joined a special charity event called The Hope Run. This event was organised by Al Jalila Foundation, the charity arm of Dubai Health, in partnership with Dubai Healthcare City Authority and supported by the Dubai Sports Council.

The event took place at the beautiful Dubai Healthcare City Phase 2 Promenade in Al Jaddaf, and more than 1,500 people took part, including 300 children. The participants ran different distances between 1 to 3 kilometers to help raise awareness and funds for The Child Fund—a project by Al Jalila Foundation that helps provide medical care to children in need.

Words from Sheikh Mansoor

Sheikh Mansoor praised everyone who helped and took part in The Hope Run. He said:“The Hope Run is a great example of the UAE’s Year of Community 2025. Sports help bring people together and make them work as one. Today’s event shows how much we care about our future generations and making sure every child gets the health care they deserve.”

Focus on Health and Community

Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health, said that The Hope Run fits well with Dubai Health’s promise of putting patients first. He said:“The Hope Run brings together health and community. It lets people play a role in helping children by giving love and complete care.”

The Child Fund started in November 2023 with Sheikh Mansoor present at the launch. The goal of the fund is to help treat more than 3,000 children every year at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, using the best technology and expert doctors.

Messages from Other Leaders

Giving AED 10 million shows how much we care about building a better future for our children. Health care should be available to everyone, and we are happy to help make that happen.”
