Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), presided over an SEC meeting at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office, with Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, also in attendance.
The meeting focused on discussing and refining government work policies in the Emirate of Sharjah, aiming to align them with the emirate's significant advancements and comprehensive progress across various sectors. The SEC reviewed a detailed report on the Social Data Portal project, which is part of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi's directives. This initiative is designed to offer accurate, comprehensive, and real-time data on individuals and families. The goal is to facilitate efficient data exchange between Sharjah government bodies, federal authorities, and local entities to enhance the delivery of social services.

The council approved the establishment of a technical team for the Social Data Portal project, including specialists from the Sharjah Social Services Department, the Sharjah Digital Department, and the General Secretariat of the SEC. This team will focus on improving readiness and overseeing the project's objectives, ensuring effective data linkage and exchange among the relevant parties.
Additionally, the SEC reviewed a presentation on the Sharjah Programme for Training and Qualifying Job Seekers. This program, endorsed by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, is designed to prepare job seekers across Sharjah's cities and regions through specialized qualification programs and practical field training in government entities. The program spans two years, with each stage lasting six months—three months dedicated to qualification and three months to field training. Participants receive a monthly stipend of 6,000 dirhams throughout the program.
The meeting also included a review of the annual report from the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment (SNQSE). The report highlighted the establishment's achievements and activities in 2023, including its strategic efforts to promote mosque activities and enhance Quran memorization. The report noted that 1,075 male and female Quran memorization tutors were involved in 1,361 groups across the emirate. These groups, comprising mosque-based, government initiative, and recitation groups, have served over 30,000 students. In 2023, the establishment saw 856 individuals complete their memorization. Additionally, the establishment organized initiatives such as “My Vacation with the Quran” and various memorization programs in collaboration with correctional facilities, associations for the disabled, and government nurseries.
