SEC Appoints Director for Fisheries Authority in New Initiative

This morning, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, took charge of the Executive Council meeting in his office, accompanied by HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council, and His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council.

The meeting delved into various crucial topics aimed at enhancing the efficiency and organization of governmental operations across key sectors in the Emirate of Sharjah. Among the key agendas was the resolution concerning the elevation and appointment of a director for the Sharjah Fisheries Authority.

Salem Mohammed Al Mahrazi, previously serving as the Director of Support Services Department at the Sharjah Fisheries Authority, received a noteworthy promotion. Under the Special Jobs System within the Sharjah government, Al Mahrazi was designated as the director of the authority, stepping into the role with a wealth of experience and expertise.

Additionally, the council scrutinized the second report from the Encroachment Removal Committee concerning the farms in Sharjah City. The report outlined the committee's activities, including field campaigns, inspection tours, farm entries and closures, encroachment identifications, and apprehensions of violators. Discussion ensued around the challenges encountered by the committee and recommendations to bolster their endeavors.

Acknowledging the committee's diligent surveillance efforts through ongoing inspection initiatives, the council urged for heightened measures to address encroachment issues impacting environmental, health, and security domains. Moreover, they stressed the significance of amplifying awareness initiatives aimed at eradicating encroachments, commending the collaborative efforts among local governmental entities in Sharjah to facilitate the committee's mandate.
