Diddy’s new lawyer is Brian Steel, who is well-known for representing rapper Young Thug in his legal case. Brian Steel asked for permission to work in New York so that he can join Diddy’s defense team.

This change in Diddy’s legal team comes after attorney Anthony Ricco decided to leave the case earlier this year, but he did not explain why. Other reports say that lawyer Mark Geragos, who has worked on big cases in the past, might also help with Diddy’s trial. Diddy is also looking for a Black female lawyer to join his team, as per sources.

Brian Steel is famous for a dramatic moment last year when he was arrested on camera for not sharing how he learned about a secret conversation between the judge, prosecutors, and a key witness in Young Thug's case. The charge was later dropped, and the judge was removed from the case.

Diddy’s lawyers recently asked the court to delay the trial for two more weeks because they said the government has not shared all the information they need to prepare. The judge will make a decision at another hearing on Friday.
