Saudi Sports Minister Visits Bahrain National Museum to Strengthen Ties

His Excellency Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, the Saudi Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC), visited the Bahrain National Museum on the sidelines of the global youth competitiveness initiative, Hope Network, hosted by Bahrain.

The Prince was warmly received by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA). The visit highlighted the strong cultural and bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, underscoring the mutual interest in fostering global youth engagement and cultural exchange.

During his visit, Prince Abdulaziz was given an informative tour of the museum, which is a leading institution in Bahrain’s cultural scene. The minister was briefed on the museum's significant role in promoting Bahrain’s rich cultural heritage, its ongoing cultural initiatives, and its commitment to engaging diverse community groups, particularly the youth, through various educational and interactive programs.

The tour included visits to several exhibits, such as the “Half a Century of Art” exhibition, which showcases pivotal works of art that have contributed to shaping the Kingdom’s artistic and cultural landscape over the past five decades. In addition, Prince Abdulaziz explored items from the museum’s permanent collection, which houses invaluable artifacts that reflect the history, culture, and traditions of Bahrain.
