Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened an important new bridge that connects Jumeirah Street to Al Mina Street. This bridge leads to the well-known Infinity Bridge. It is 985 meters long and has two lanes. The bridge can carry up to 3,200 vehicles every hour.
This bridge is part of the Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project – Phase 4. This phase of the project covers 4.8 kilometers, starting from the intersection of Sheikh Rashid Road and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street, all the way to the Falcon Intersection on Al Mina Street.
The RTA is working hard to follow the goals set by Dubai’s leaders. They want to improve roads and traffic to support the city’s growing population. Projects like this help make travel smoother and easier in busy areas.

Thanks to the new bridge, people traveling from Jumeirah Street to Infinity Bridge through Al Mina Street will have a much faster drive. Travel time will drop by 67%—from 12 minutes to just 4 minutes—because there are no traffic lights on the bridge, allowing cars to keep moving without stopping.
Besides this bridge, Phase 4 also includes five more bridges. Together, they will be 3.1 kilometers long and will be able to carry 19,400 vehicles per hour in total. The work also includes road improvements across 4.8 kilometers and updates to major intersections on Jumeirah Street, Al Mina Street, and Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Street. Two new pedestrian bridges will also be built—one on Sheikh Rashid Road and another on Al Mina Street—to help people cross safely.
Another major part of the project will be completed in the second quarter of 2025. It is a 780-meter-long bridge with three lanes that will connect the Infinity Bridge to Al Wasl Street through Al Mina Street. Once finished, this new bridge will be able to handle up to 4,800 vehicles every hour.
These changes aim to make traveling in Dubai safer, quicker, and more comfortable for everyone.
