RTA Grants InsuranceMarket.ae Naming Rights for Mashreq Station for 10 Years

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially awarded the naming rights of Mashreq Metro Station to InsuranceMarket.ae, marking a significant partnership between the UAE’s largest insurance platform and the public transit authority. InsuranceMarket.ae, which has been serving the UAE’s insurance needs since 1995, will have its name associated with the station for the next decade.

Effective from September 2024, Mashreq Metro Station will be rebranded as InsuranceMarket Metro Station. Located on the Red Line between Mall of The Emirates and Dubai Internet City Metro Stations, the station is strategically positioned on Sheikh Zayed Road, making it a prominent location for visibility and engagement.

Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat, CEO of the Rail Agency at RTA, highlighted the importance of such collaborations in fostering economic growth. He noted that the partnership with InsuranceMarket.ae is an exemplary model of successful public-private cooperation. This initiative not only benefits from RTA’s projects but also contributes to job creation across various sectors and supports the private sector in aligning with government goals.

Kalbat emphasized, "The Emirate of Dubai provides an excellent platform for major companies and entrepreneurs to showcase and promote their brands. Dubai Metro stations offer a unique and advanced advertising opportunity for companies and investors in the UAE and the region. This partnership allows them to market their products and services, enhancing their global competitiveness and facilitating growth in both local and international markets."

Avinash Babur, Founder and CEO of InsuranceMarket.ae, expressed gratitude for the naming rights, describing it as a milestone for the company. He drew a parallel between the metro's role in connecting Dubai’s residents and InsuranceMarket.ae’s mission to connect customers with suitable insurance solutions, aiming to enhance safety and convenience.

The rebranding process will commence between September and November 2024. During this period, all external and internal signage at the station will be updated to reflect the new name. Additionally, the new name will be integrated into RTA’s smart systems, public transport apps, and onboard audio announcements to ensure a seamless transition for commuters.

RTA has advised metro riders to take note of the station’s new name and has made arrangements for assistance at the station during the transition period. The organization encourages clients to reach out to RTA’s teams for any further information or clarification regarding the change.
