Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has made it easier for customers to pay for its services by expanding the use of Tabby, a popular instalment payment app, across all its digital platforms. Previously, this service was only available through RTA’s smart kiosks. Now, customers can also use Tabby on the RTA website, RTA app, nol Pay app, and smart kiosks, making payments more convenient and flexible.

With this new step, RTA customers can pay for 170 services using Tabby. These services include vehicle registration renewal, driving licence renewal, and traffic fine payments. The app allows users to split their bills into up to four interest-free instalments, making larger payments easier to manage.

RTA’s decision to expand Tabby across its digital channels is part of its efforts to improve customer satisfaction by offering flexible and hassle-free payment options. This also includes the option to buy special vehicle number plates through instalments.

The move is in line with Dubai’s Cashless Strategy, which aims to reduce the use of cash and promote digital payments. It also supports the government’s goal of becoming fully digital and smarter, making public services faster and more accessible.

It’s worth mentioning that RTA first partnered with Tabby last year, but at that time, the service was only available through smart kiosks. With this latest expansion, RTA is making it even easier for people to access and pay for its services, promoting digital adoption and boosting public revenue collection for the Government of Dubai.
