Washington: Robbie Williams is sharing the tough parts of his life in his new movie Better Man. The Movie, which will be released by Paramount Pictures, talks about his struggles with addiction and the difficult relationships he's had.
In the movie, Williams admits He. is the "main villain" in the story. He said, "There were many villains in this movie until we legally couldn't have many villains in this movie. Now the only villain in this movie is me. I'm quite happy to be the main villain in this movie." He is being honest about his mistakes "During a specific period." when his life was not going well.
One big part of the movie is about his relationship with Gary Barlow, his former bandmate from Take That. They didn’t get along in the past, and the Movie shows their story. At first, the script made Williams look like the victim in their fight. But after showing it to Barlow, Williams agreed to change the script. "In the script, I speak how I spoke and I think how I thought back then," Williams said. After Barlow saw the script, he joked that he looked like the bad guy, saying, "Rob, I come off worse than Darth Vader in the first Star Wars." Williams then changed the script to make sure both sides of their story were shown fairly.

Williams also talks about his past with Nicole Appleton, his ex-girlfriend and a member of the band All Saints. He said he regrets not being a better partner to her. "She didn't deserve the version of me she got," he said. "I feel great shame I didn't represent myself in the best way possible because she deserves the best and deserves the best me and she didn't get it." After watching the movie, Appleton called him, and they cried together as they talked about the past.
While Williams is open about his mistakes, he doesn’t want to show certain parts of his life to his father. Williams’ father left the family when he was young, and they have not been close since then. Williams said, "I don't want him to see it. I've done so much work on myself. I've rehabbed. I've tried. I've lived in Los Angeles for 24 years. I've learned how to heal. We Brits don't do that. My dad hasn’t and hasn’t needed to. We haven’t had this conversation." This shows how he feels about keeping certain parts of his life private.
One thing that makes Better Man special is how open Williams is about his life. He thinks it’s because his mind works differently than others. He said, "I don't pick up on the cues where normal people go, 'I better not share that or I better not share that.'" He joked, saying that he doesn’t mind talking about things others might keep secret, like health problems. "I go, 'Here are my hemorrhoids.' People go, 'Maybe you should not show your hemorrhoids.' I go, 'Why? I have hemorrhoids. I don't get it.'" This honesty is a big part of his personality and the movie, making it a very personal story.
Better Man is a movie that looks at both the good and bad parts of Williams’ life. It talks about his rise to fame, his struggles with addiction, and the relationships that shaped him. The movie gives Williams a chance to think about his life and share his story of change and growth. It’s a raw and honest look at the life of a man who has had many big moments but also faced a lot of challenges.
