H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, arrived in Xiamen, China today in preparation for his keynote address at the 24th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT). This visit marks a significant occasion as it coincides with the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UAE and China.

Sheikh Saud is leading a high-profile delegation from Ras Al Khaimah to the four-day CIFIT conference, which is one of China’s largest investment fairs. The event is expected to draw over 1,000 business delegations, 5,000 companies, and 50,000 business professionals, highlighting its prominence in the international investment landscape.
In his statement, Sheikh Saud emphasized the strategic partnership between the UAE and China, underlining their mutual commitment to cooperation, trade, and investment. He noted that this partnership aims to foster prosperity and enhance the wellbeing of both nations and their peoples.
CIFIT, held annually in Xiamen and hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, serves as a major platform for international investment relations. It has evolved into one of the world’s most influential investment conferences, attracting government and business leaders from more than 100 countries. This year’s CIFIT will run from September 8 to 11 and will also see participation from government officials representing over 100 cities across China’s 31 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions.
Following his engagement at CIFIT, Sheikh Saud's visit to China will continue with stops in Dongguan and Shenzhen in Guangdong Province. During these visits, he will meet with political, cultural, and business leaders, further strengthening the ties between Ras Al Khaimah and China.
The trip represents a crucial step in deepening the UAE-China relationship and exploring new avenues for collaboration and investment.
