Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is now playing better than ever. After saying goodbye to big-name players like Neymar, Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappé, the team has changed. PSG coach Luis Enrique now trusts young and fresh players. These new players are doing very well.
PSG will play against Aston Villa on Tuesday in the second leg of their Champions League quarterfinal. In the first game, PSG won 3-1. Now, they want to finish the job and go to the semifinals.

But the game won’t be easy. Aston Villa plays at home, at Villa Park, where they haven’t lost since October. Villa already beat Bayern Munich at home, so they are strong in front of their fans. The crowd will be loud and excited.
Still, PSG has faced harder games before. In the last round, they were losing 1-0 after the first game against Liverpool. Then they went to Anfield and won. Many people now say PSG looks like one of the best teams in the Champions League.
PSG is also in good shape. They won 17 out of their last 18 matches. They already won the French league. They even rested over the weekend, so the players are fresh and ready.
Aston Villa lost to PSG in Paris last week, but they are also playing well. Before that game, Villa had won seven games in a row. On Saturday, they beat Southampton 3-0. Villa is playing in the Champions League for the first time since 1983. They won the cup once before, in 1982.
PSG played in the final in 2020 but lost. Last year, they reached the semifinals but lost to Borussia Dortmund.
Now, Barcelona is also close to the semifinals. They beat Dortmund 4-0 in the first game. But they need to be careful. Dortmund plays very well at home. Their fans, called the "Yellow Wall," are very loud and help the team.
Barcelona coach Hansi Flick is the right man for this job. He has won all 7 of his games against Dortmund — with Barcelona and also with Bayern Munich. Earlier this season, Barcelona played in Dortmund and won 3-2 with a late goal. That is the only time Dortmund has lost a Champions League game at home since 2021.
So now, both PSG and Barcelona have good chances to go to the semifinals. But they still need to finish the second leg and play well.
