President Sheikh Mohamed visited Captain Mohammed Al Nuaimi at Zayed Military Hospital on Sunday, where the officer is receiving treatment for injuries sustained in a terrorist attack in Somalia. The attack resulted in the tragic loss of four members of the UAE Armed Forces who were providing training to Somali forces, along with an officer from the Bahrain Defence Force.

The fallen UAE servicemen, including Col Mohamed Al Mansouri, Staff Warrant Officer Khalifa Al Balushi, Staff Warrant Officer Mohamed Al Shamsi, and Corporal Suleiman Al Shehh, were honored and their bodies repatriated to Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi last month. Sheikh Mohamed expressed his well wishes for Captain Al Nuaimi's swift recovery and was briefed by doctors on the progress of his treatment.

During the visit, Sheikh Mohamed praised the resilient spirit and exceptional morale demonstrated by members of the armed forces. He was accompanied by senior officials, including Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad, adviser for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, and Maj Gen Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun, deputy chief of staff of the UAE Armed Forces.

Last month, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, paid tribute to the fallen soldiers, emphasizing their dedication to maintaining security and stability. He highlighted the UAE's commitment to promoting peace and security globally for the betterment of humanity.
