The shooting incident in question resulted in the death of one spectator and critical injuries to two others. Former President Trump himself narrowly avoided serious harm, sustaining a bullet wound to his ear. Authorities identified the perpetrator as Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old who used an AR-style rifle owned by his father.
